The Nanaimo area offers miles of beaches, walkways and nature parks for your enjoyment. Starting from Nanaimo's  historic city Centre, you can take the Heritage walk to discover Nanaimo's colourful history. The Harbourside Walkway stretches over four kilometers from the central waterfront's busy boat basin. Watch the activity from Pioneer Plaza while you explore the shops, stroll past the Yacht Club and marinas. Pause and enjoy some of nanaimo's 2,700 acres of parkland.
